The
Particles Project:
For the past three years, Matt Williams
has been emersed into an exciting project that promises to be a
notable work from the young artist. "Particles" is designated
to be published as two discs (Particles: Volume 1, and Particles:
Volume 2). The project is designed to be listened and viewed as
one project within itself. It is a concept album reflecting the
many cyclical aspects of human life, expressed within the music
and lyrics. It is bold but intimate, questioning yet unoffensive,
both bright and dark at times, but above all promises to be a repeat-listen.
The album was the first student project ever recorded at the new
Center for Applied Technologies Recording Studio at WCU, and has
made waves with its special concert event for the recent release
of "Particles - Volume I"!
The "Matt Williams: Particles" CD Release Halloween Concert
presented by 553 West Main and Power 90.5 took place on Wednesday,
October 31st 2007 @ The Western Carolina University Fine And Performing
Arts Center (The first student concert at thisWNC premier venue).
